Democratic Structures at ORANGE 94.0
ORANGE 94.0 is organised as a participatory and democratic media organisation. Our committees create transparent structures, enable shared decision-making and safeguard the editorial and organisational quality of the station. At the same time, they provide spaces for exchange, discussion and the ongoing development of ORANGE 94.0.
The work of all committees is based on the Leitbild (mission statement) of ORANGE 94.0 and on the Allgemeinen Grundsätze (General Principles), which define roles, responsibilities and decision-making processes.

Verein Freies Radio Wien
Verein Freies Radio Wien is the legal body and publisher of ORANGE 94.0. It provides the organisational framework for the radio’s operations and is responsible for ensuring compliance with the association’s objectives, mission statement and legal requirements. The association’s members form the foundation of its democratic structure.
Executive Board
The Executive Board is elected by the General Assembly and is responsible for the strategic direction of the association as well as its financial and legal accountability. It supports and oversees the management, makes fundamental decisions, and represents the association externally.
Orangenes Gremium
At the heart of the Orange Committee is a regular exchange on topics and visions that concern everyone involved at ORANGE 94.0. This can include, for example, ongoing projects or the editorial direction in which the radio station should develop. Meetings are held once per quarter. In addition, the Orange Committee organises the Radio Forum once a year, to which everyone at ORANGE 94.0 is invited. Within the Orange Committee, representatives of radio producers, the team, and the board advise together. The committee promotes participation, transparency, and collective responsibility within the radio community.
