Due to significant funding cuts, we are unable to offer either internship placements or work experience days in 2026.

The editorial internship offers:

Insight into various work processes in the programming department of an independent community radio station.
Collaboration on the production of the series ‘Vienna REC – Die Stadt im Gespräch’ (Vienna REC – The City in Conversation), including research and communication with event organisers. In the Vienna REC series, ORANGE 94.0 broadcasts recordings of discursive formats from around Vienna.
Production of jingles
If interested, participation in the ORANGE 94.0 weekly news show and other broadcast series

Duration: 2-4 months
Good German are skills required

The internship is aimed at students studying media, communication and cultural studies as part of their degree programme. An expense allowance is provided.

Work Experience Days

We offer pupils the opportunity to complete their work experience days at ORANGE 94.0. Pupils gain insight into how a community radio station operates and learn about the practical aspects of critical radio production. The placement lasts 3 to a maximum of 4 days. The aim is to create a short radio piece of their own.
